This is the time of the year when a lot of smartphone launches happen, flooding the market with countless options. Nothing Phone (2) is one of the latest buzz. Carl Pie has risen to the promise of improved hardware and software integration with the second version of the glyph interface device.
While the Nothing Phone has a unique presence with that peculiar iPhone 14 design resemblance, Infinix wants to undercut Nothing with its own flashy version of a glyph interface mobile device.
Designer: Infinix
According to a leak by a Weibo user Perfect Arrangement Digital that Abhishek Yadav tweeted, the Infinix GT 10 Pro and GT 10 Pro + are expected to debut in China in the early half of next month. Like the Nothing Phone (2) released last week, this phone has a semi-transparent aesthetic on the rear with hints of a ROG Phone or RegMagic enchantment. The camera island and the ring-shaped LED is radically different from what we’ve seen so far on any device out there.
Under that impressive skin lies a respectable set of hardware if we believe another tweet couple of days ago by the leakster. Pitched as a gaming phone for power users, there’s a FHD+ display, MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset and 5,000mAh battery under the hood. For the occasional photography after gaming stints, the phone has a 108MP triple camera setup and a 32MP front camera.
Gaming should be smooth on the upcoming Infinix devices slated to arrive in the Indian market initially. According to the leak, the gaming phone will come in two color options – one a darker version and another white. Another niche perk is that the unique box in which the smartphone is shipped doubles as a sound amplifier when docked into the provided housing.
Out of the box, the phone will run on XOS 13 overlayed on the Android 13 OS. The only downside is, the device will get one major Android update and two security updates. All the available data suggests the phone will be priced very aggressively to undercut the likes of OnePlus and IQOO. Since there are still a couple of weeks to go before the launch happens, more information is expected to seep in.
